BORIC ACID is also known as Hydrogen Borate, Boracic Acid, Orthoboric Acid and Acidum Boricum. Anti fungic.
There are many applications where the use of Boric Acid is preferred, such as in pest control, it is particularly useful against Ants, Silverfish, Cockroaches and indeed many other bugs that tend to clean themselves.
Boric Acid can be used as an antiseptic for minor burns or lacerations, also used as an Acne treatment, in dressings and salves, in a very dilute solution as an eyewash, as an antibacterial compound, as a treatment of Athletes Foot and in an alcohol solution to treat certain types of ear infection.
Used to treat wet or dry rot in timber.
As an additive to flux.
